I am a Thai Chinese people and associated with Chinese ritual that has been remembered since my childhood to the present day. And this ritual is still ongoing presenting the vision of Chinese beliefs "KONG TEK” - Chinese Funeral Rituals , a ritual which dedicated to the souls of those who have passed away. This ritual has existed since ancestors era. New generations have been not believing in this ritual anymore as It could not been proved exactly. I am also those people who have always questioned why do the Chinese rituals are more complicated than Thai rituals. Therefore, I am interested in bringing this ritual to convey in my own way through the concepts and beliefs of this ritual from the beginning to the end. Thus, it comes to the name of the collection "Back to Departures" - the beginning of the end.
