Kite (Wau Beramas)
The story of myself seeing the beauty of my hometown culture growing up in Yala city. The city of the three southernmost provinces covered with what the outsiders might consider frightening. But in this place there is still a hidden beauty Various things, food, places and cultures So I took here the art and culture here to spread to people outside the area. The kites of the three southern border provinces of Malay inspired the researcher to be used as a concept for designing art collections. Which content is used in the design Including: 1. Structure of the kite using bamboo to frame Beramus kite 2. The pattern of the Beramas kite The prohibition of stripes according to the principles of Malay art. Until learning of the philosophical implications in different patterns The symmetry of no collision pattern is like not interfering with the respect of the Malay people. As well as designs that bend the branches or leaves down to show submissiveness to adults, the non-use of the breath pattern uses non-animal objects around the body. 3. An important identity theme is the use of natural materials that are local to the south, the colors used are exceptionally bright, highlighting the contrasting color clearly and decorated with motifs inspired by Local nature 4. Using bamboo to make kites Tough and strong bamboo, method of making kite frame and mulberry paper used to make kites. 5. The elaboration of the kite Making a stencil using slits Methods and patterning to increase the dimension of the kite pattern The value of the old kite that was a king kite was only for the elite. The kite harvest season is predicted by the wind direction.
The design of this collection of art thesis focuses on the construction of the set. Use bamboo to build the structure. Blend together perfectly according to the design in the stage The first time I used the kite, the collage was stretched and expanded according to the design principles to create a new set of forms. It is created in its own style and then used to experiment with real structures that can be made on a creative set. Wearable and a texture-breaking technique is applied to the fabric to create a clear color and pattern in the Beramas kite.
The researcher wants to show the identity. Malay culture has value that is shrouded in fear from an outsider view that there is indeed a beautiful thing hidden in the three border provinces, including food A multicultural uniquely different from the rest is conveyed in the form of creative wears.
