Inspired by the classic folktale of Sang Thong, “The Splendor Revelation of Sang Thong” collection explored the idea of Sang concealing his true identity of an angel within an ugly disguise of Jao Ngo Pa, as well as the revelation of his golden body to Rodjana. The main visual image I focused on was the true nature and beauty of Sang hidden behind deformation of the mask. I have conveyed these events within my collection in the hope to pass on the importance and value of this traditional folktale to future generations.
