The development of the Mekong river has caused a massive change that would impact and infiltrate all communities along the Mekong river. One of the communities is “Bru”, located in Ban Tha Long, Khong Chiam, Ubon Ratchathani province.

This transformative state was presented as a participating documentary work by artist photographer “Janyaporn Seehabut” , who began her entry into the community in September 2020 until April 2021. The purpose is to tell the story with testimony of the villagers about the impact that has occurred in this community. They must maintain their identity in reluctance because the source of the problem is across the border. Their way of life is changed but they must fight and struggle with the environment changing due to the state neglecting this problem. It is still only a whisper that the state remained ignorant.
