The Karen people of “Ban Bang Kloi” were forced to leave the “Jai Phaen Din” area that is their hometown from the forest with fertile land to a village that is arid and difficult to farm. Many people have arable land. There are still many people who had to wait for the action of the authorities. Young men had to get off the mountain to work in the city. Older people have to live in difficult times. Many villagers have hope of returning to the “Jai Phaen Din”. The fertile forest, spiritual place, and hometown, even that is a glimmer of hope.
